I offer a meaningful, personal ceremony giving you the opportunity to say goodbye and to express your grief, to give thanks and to celebrate the uniqueness of your loved one's life.
Take this opportunity to create with me a personal, meaningful funeral or thanksgiving service, to truly honour the life of your loved one. My role is to work with you to create a ceremony that will give solace and comfort and serve as a lasting memory for all those who knew them. The content of the service is your choice and can contain as much, or as little religion and spirituality as you desire.
We will meet together, (with other family members and friends if you like), in your home to share stories so I can gain a sense of who that person was. Then we will create a ceremony which reflects their life. I will help you choose readings, poetry and music for the service as well encouraging you to display photos and other special mementoes too. You may like to invite friends or relatives - including children - to read a favourite poem or tribute, sing a song or play an instrument to make it even more personal.
You will have a copy of the service to make sure that you're happy with the content and you can make changes.
There are many decisions to be made regarding the funeral arrangements and we can discuss them all. Your service can be at a local crematorium, the funeral directors' chapel or at one of the lovely natural burial grounds.
Together, we will take time to create a personal funeral, life celebration or memorial service which will truly honour your loved one's memory. This beautiful service will help you to say goodbye and help you to celebrate their life and achievements. Along with the other mourners you will be able to recall with love and laughter those special moments shared with your loved one.
I will work closely with your Funeral Director and with members of staff at the crematorium or burial ground, to make sure that the ceremony happens as you wish. On the day of the ceremony I will be there to receive you and your guests and will conduct the special service we have prepared.
I would like to register mine and my family's thanks for officiating in your capacity as Celebrant at mum's funeral in April.
I knew when I met up with you again in January and you told me that you had just trained as a celebrant, that you would be perfect to take mum's funeral when the time came.
You did an excellent job editing the long eulogy that I'd written for Mum in the form of her life story. You did this with patience and sensitivity, so that between us we shortened it enough to fit in the allotted time slot without losing anything meaningful.
As you are a careful listener I would have been happy and confident to have let you write Mum's eulogy had I not felt able to do it myself.
You have a clear, calming, pleasant, speaking voice, your delivery and timing are perfect.
Arranging Mum's funeral was a very stressful time for me, you were always supportive, and professional, knowing that you were sorting and delivering the address and my very personnel eulogy was a great help and comfort to me.
I would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone looking for a celebrant in the future.
With love and sincere thanks
From Noreen and family"
"Thank you so much for that lovely service. It was sad, it was funny, it was moving."
"Many thanks for the Eulogy given at our Mother's Funeral.
Mum's was such a long and full life and you brought it all together from the stories we remembered.
It was thoughtfully and professionally delivered.
The laughter and the tears said it all!
This is a heartfelt "Thank You".
Michael and Marie Latham.
